Even the most pre-ghosted Scrooge has to admit that there’s just something special about this time of the year. Here are my favorite reasons of joy for the season….

1) Hard to top celebrating God coming down in the flesh to save us from our sins. Any of you done anything even CLOSE?!?
2) The fact that so many Old Testament Prophesies/Predictions about Jesus accurately predicted the place and means of His birth are just wonderfully cool. Just check out Micah 5:2 or Isaiah 7:14
3) Anyone NOT love Handel’s “Messiah”?
4) Movies with Bing Crosby, James Stewart, Natalie Wood, Danny Kaye, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, Margaret Sullivan, Barbara Stanwyck..
5) Charlie Brown Christmas! Praise God for Vince Guaraldi!
6) Eggnog. Eggnog with everything! In coffee, waffles, with nutmeg,on ice cream, in bread…
7) Nativity Scenes-from tacky to artistic, each type is just a joy to see. We’ve got over 20 in our house from Peru, Greece, Italy, India, Cambodia, Israel, China…
8) Mistletoe!!!
9) Best excuse for wearing green and red, as well as the loudest ties and vests since the Von Trapps.
10) Christmas Carols-sung by us or by anyone from Nat King Cole to Chipmunks.
11) Peace on Earth, and good will towards men with whom He is pleased!
